Gain the theoretical knowledge you need to provide first aid in an emergency. This course covers the theoretical part of a basic first aid training program.

This course aims to enhance your first aid skills, enabling you to assess and respond effectively during serious incidents. 

You will receive a course certificate upon completion. 

Who should take this course? 

This course is suitable for everyone. A separate first aid course is available for electrical professionals, but only in Norwegian.

• The chain of survival: Understand the sequence of actions that maximize a victim's chances of survival 

• Scene safety and victim assessment: Learn how to ensure the safety of the scene and evaluate the condition of the injured or ill person 

• Cardiac arrest response: Training in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) 

• Management of various injuries: Techniques for examining and addressing different types of injuries 

• Post-incident support: What happens after a serious accident and where can you seek support 

Technical information 

This digital course will be accessible through a learning portal upon registration.   

This e-learning consists of five modules, each containing multiple lessons with videos, text and quizzes. We end the course with a final quiz that you need to pass in order to complete the course. It will take approximately 60–90 minutes to complete the course but you can complete the course at your own pace.  

The audio in the videos is in Norwegian with English subtitles. All other text in the course is in English. 

How do I book the practical training? 

Practical training is booked by your managers for a spesific date. Contact your manager if you have not recived a date for the practical part.
